Weekends are the perfect time to unwind, relax, and indulge in some delightful culinary experiences. Join me as I take you through my weekend round-up of restaurant experiences.
Friday Night at Ai Fiori in the Langham Hotel
The weekend kicked off on a high note with a Friday night dinner reservation at Ai Fiori, nestled within the luxurious Langham Hotel. The ambiance was elegant, setting the stage for an exquisite dining experience. We began our meal with the Crudo e Caviale, a delicate appetizer featuring fresh seafood and caviar that set the tone for what was to come.
Next up, we savored the Pomodoro salad, a refreshing and vibrant mix of tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. For our main courses we indulged in the blue crab spaghetti (my favorite!) and the trofie nero (squid ink pasta, also amazing!)
Saturday Morning at Tin Building by Jean-Georges
Saturday morning started with a visit to the Tin Building by Jean-Georges, a food hall with restaurants plus a market right in South Seaport. I opted for a chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee, while my fiancé ordered his usual bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on brioche bread.
Saturday Night Birthday Bash at Mr. Chow Tribeca
Saturday night was all about celebrating a friend’s birthday in style, and Mr. Chow Tribeca was the ideal choice. The evening began with their outstanding espresso martinis while we nibbled on dumplings and scallion pancakes, both excellent choices for appetizers.
For the main course we devoured chicken satay, noodles, sesame chicken, duck and crispy beef. The entire evening was a vibrant celebration filled with laughter, good company and exceptional food.
Sunday Night at Emmet’s on Grove
As the weekend drew to a close, I headed to Emmet’s on Grove for a comforting Sunday night dinner. I ordered the Hot Girl Pizza featuring jalapeños, pepperoni and a drizzle of hot honey, while my fiancé ordered chicken Parm sliders. And to satisfy our sweet tooth on the way back home, we couldn’t resist stopping at Chip City for their famous chocolate chip cookies. A perfect end to a delicious weekend.
In conclusion, my weekend restaurant round-up was a journey of diverse flavors. New York City never ceases to amaze with its culinary offerings, and this weekend was a testament to the city’s vibrant food scene. Until the next culinary escapade, bon appétit!

Remarkable Medellín
Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.

Nov 21, 2024Immerse in an Invigorating Thermal Journey at Scandinave Spa Whistler
The glittering green pines and burst of jasmine lake beyond almost made me forget about the aches in my legs that slowly developed after the promised hour-long hike ran into the third hour. And, oh, there were my hips, showing up to remind me I was no longer in my 20s. I didn’t mind, though, because the vision that surrounded me during our guided walk through Garibaldi Park to Cheakamus Lake in Whistler, British Columbia, with Mountain Skills Academy and Adventures proved worthy of a thousand postcards.
