Recently the top teams from the NHL and NBA have been living in their own “bubbles,” with the NHL in Toronto and the NBA at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex located on the Walt Disney World Resort. Each organization has been adjusting to the bubble life and playing some seeding games before playoffs begin.
Growing up a Philadelphia sports fan, this is a very exciting time; I am excited to watch the Sixers and Flyers make their playoff appearances and am hoping they are in it until the end.

The Philadelphia Sixers start their playoff run Monday, August 17 in a 7-game series against the Boston Celtics. With Ben Simmons out for the foreseeable future due to knee surgery, fans and commentators are skeptical about how far they will go without one of their star players. The starters and other key players have been stepping up and putting their all into the recent seeding games to prove to the fans, themselves and the coaching staff that they have what it takes to be aggressive contenders in the playoffs. All the fans have to do now is “trust the process” and hope for a long playoff run or maybe even a championship!
The Philadelphia Flyers have been showing a lot of promise lately; they came in second in the division and haven’t lost a game yet in the bubble (knock on wood). Philadelphia is hoping this will finally be the year they bring home a Stanley Cup. The Flyers have started their playoff run already in a 7-game series against the Montreal Canadiens.
