Experiencing Supercross

Recently I experienced my first Monster Energy AMA Supercross at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. I personally had never been to a Supercross event before but decided to go since it would probably be a neat experience. I went with my boyfriend, Sawyer, who enjoys Supercross and had been an avid fan growing up.

My First Massage and Facial at Rizzieri: A Relaxing Experience

I’ve been wanting to treat myself to a massage for a while, and this past weekend seemed like the perfect time. I decided to book a 60-minute massage at Rizzieri, and I couldn’t have been happier. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. My massage therapist was so kind and made sure I was comfortable. The atmosphere was calm and soothing, and the massage was incredibly relaxing and pure bliss.

Christchurch, New Zealand

I'm picking up my travelogue of my December cruise to New Zealand today with our first port on the country's South Island, Christchurch. It is the largest city on the island and New Zealand's second-largest city by urban population, after Auckland. It also boasts of being the oldest city in New Zealand, being officially incorporated in 1856. As with our previous stop, Wellington, we decided to forego any formal shore excursion and instead planned to explore on our own. We took the free shuttle bus from the cruise port in nearby Lyttelton and were dropped off near the central business district. Crossing over the Avon River on the Bridge of Remembrance, a memorial to those fallen in the wars of the 20th century, we entered into the central core, which is very pedestrian-friendly, with most vehicular traffic restricted and trams offering convenient transportation.

Preferred Rooftop Destinations

Over the past six months I didn’t need AI to highlight a photo trend on my phone … it was easy to tell I’ve been visiting a variety of rooftop destinations and taking pics at every turn. Today I thought I’d highlight three of my favorites (in no particular order):

Rainy Day Favorites

As I’m writing this blog, I am listening to rain hit the window, and it’s making me think of my favorite rainy day activities. Like most people, I would prefer not to leave the house and just spend the day under a blanket watching a movie, TV show or reading a good book. With spring and summer rainstorms around the corner and possibly ruining some of your weekend plans, I thought this would be a perfect time to recommend some good TV shows, movies and books I’ve watched and read recently to help keep you entertained during these rainy days.

A Day of Discovery and Serendipity

After a peaceful night in my cozy Airbnb, it was time to check out and move to my new home for the next few days: the stunning Hôtel Norman in the Opéra district. Nestled just off the Champs-Élysées, the hotel felt like a Parisian dream. My junior suite, complete with a balcony overlooking the city, made me feel like I was living in my very own Parisian apartment — and I couldn’t have been more thrilled (but more on that in an upcoming GT Tested review in Global Traveler). I spent a good amount of time simply gazing at the grand architecture of the neighborhood before setting out to explore more of the city.
