Since I began working permanently from home, I’ve started listening to more podcasts. I’d always listened to them, but mostly on my 12-minute commutes to and from work and mostly in-depth podcast series dedicated to one subject and lasting four–six weeks. However, as I put them on in the background daily for several hours now, I’m finding more weekly podcasts I enjoy — even better if they have several years of backlog to work through.
I was excited to find out Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth were debuting a podcast entitled 90210MG. I’m not embarrassed to admit I was a huge Beverly Hills, 90210 fan, and having two of the main characters from my favorite show watching the episodes and recapping them with inside intel is an early Christmas present. If you share my enthusiasm for the TV drama, tune in to this podcast.
Where are all my true crime fans? I know I’m not alone in my love of that genre; so if you haven’t already, check out Crime Junkie. From cases we’ve all heard about — like Chandra Levy and Scott Peterson — to lesser-known crimes, each episode breaks down real-life stories in an informative, easy-to-listen format.
While I find the music and storytelling at times a bit overdramatic, the You Must Remember This podcast offers an informative look at classic Hollywood. I’ve so far learned about Frances Farmer, Judy Garland and Isabella Rossellini, and that is barely scratching the surface of this archive.
What are some of your favorite podcasts? Send recommendations my way as I continue to discover new shows to listen to on a daily basis.
