I’ve recently come to the realization my summer isn’t going to be the same as it normally is; I won’t be seeing my friends as much because we are all either busy with full-time jobs or in graduate school. Also, we won’t be able to hang out at bars or restaurants on the weekends like we normally do because they are either closed or operating at limited capacity.
To make our summer feel a little more exciting, my friend Kelly and I decided we are going to have a movie night once a week. We thought it would be fun to expand our movie knowledge and it would be a great opportunity to see each other regularly throughout the summer. My back deck has a roof and a TV outside, so we thought it was the perfect setup to enjoy the nice summer weather and enjoy good movies.
We started by watching Joker; she saw it in the theaters but didn’t really remember much, and I had never seen it before. We both liked it a lot and decided our next movie would be Batman Begins; we’ve never seen it and wanted to see how Bruce Wayne became Batman since we saw how Arther Fleck became the Joker.
Last week we ended up having two movie nights because we were eager to watch The Dark Knight. Sticking with the Batman theme, this week our movie is The Dark Knight Rises.
We decided we are going to continue watching different movie series we’ve never seen, haven’t seen in a while or never finished. We already have a couple lined up: Pirates of the Carribean, The Hunger Games and possibly The Avengers.
If anyone has any suggestions on series to add to our list, let me know!
