With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday this year, I’m looking forward to enjoying a four-day weekend. This weekend my husband and I also celebrate our seventh wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate the holiday and anniversary weekend with a combination of time together, with friends and with family.
Up first, we have brunch reservations at Parc in Philadelphia — the city where we got married. We had one of our first dates at the restaurant, and the brunch menu is a favorite of ours. Later, we’re doing an escape room, then heading to watch the Phillies game with some family.
On Sunday morning we plan to drive to the shore, visiting friends and family in Ocean City, New Jersey. While we don’t have set plans, we want to visit some wineries and enjoy fresh seafood during our stay. Monday we’re attending a Fourth of July cookout our friends are hosting, with all of the classic holiday foods of burgers, hot dogs and salads. We’re keeping the actual holiday open to catch up on anything else or relax.
I hope you all have a happy and fun Fourth of July weekend!
