Jean Georges Philadelphia

It is the most popular spot in the city. It is the most sought-out reservation for your Friday night. Jean Georges Philadelphia sits high above the clouds at the top of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia and is one of the hottest spots for a happy hour drink or a decadent, innovative meal curated by Chef de Cuisine Cornelia Sühr. Outside of the incredible menu, the experience isn’t complete without the 360-degree view of Philadelphia from above.Four Seasons Philadelphia (1)

JG SkyHigh, the bar and one part of the restaurant, has been the spot for many happy hours for my friend group celebrating holidays, birthdays or just a glass of Sauvignon Blanc after work on a Thursday. However, I never had the chance to sit down for a full meal.Four Seasons Philadelphia

There are two different sections of the restaurant: You can sit and enjoy the carefully curated tasting menu (Jean Georges), or you can order á la carte (JG SkyHigh), what my group of girlfriends did the other night.Four Seasons Philadelphia

Between a drink at the bar before dinner and a full meal, we ended up sitting for more than three hours. The staff at Jean Georges wants to prioritize the experience and let us hang out for as long as we wished while bringing out each course with an appropriate amount of time between. We started with calamari and Wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls and shared main dishes of pizza, pasta and a burger — each respectively more decadent than the last.Four Seasons Philadelphia

We were celebrating one of my girlfriend’s bachelorette parties, so when it came time to choose dessert, our waiter brought out an assortment of cookies and ice cream to celebrate — they were gluten-free since the bride-to-be mentioned she ate gluten-free earlier in the evening. Overall, we had a great time and felt classier than ever!

Escape to Tahiti for a Captivating Island-Hopping Cruise

The 118 islands of French Polynesia reveal themselves layer by fascinating layer, with the spirit of mana (vital force) linking them all the way from Tahiti to the remote reaches of the Marquesas. This is part of the world best savored on a journey that dives as deep into culture as natural beauty, both above and below the water’s surface. A cruise makes it easy to cover a lot of ground while unpacking just once (and sneaking in some work done in comfort, too, during at-sea days). And cruising offers particular appeal within this semi-autonomous French territory sprawling across nearly 2 million square miles of ocean and covering five archipelagos.

The Shelbourne Review

Facing the vast St. Stephen’s Green in the heart of Dublin sits the iconic and historic The Shelbourne. Few hotels master the perfect blend of history and luxury, but The Shelbourne gets it right. The site of the signing of the Irish Constitution in 1922 granting the Republic of Ireland its freedom from England, The Shelbourne has hosted its fair share of notable figures, from Michael Collins to Princess Grace Kelly to John Ford, the latter of which was the name of my suite.
