Although the holidays look a little different this year, I am still excited to celebrate with my family. I didn’t get to fully enjoy Thanksgiving this year because I got my tonsils out the Monday prior, so I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t enjoy my meal. This has me even more anxious for Christmas.

Our Christmas celebrations are going to be different than normal. Every year we spend Christmas Eve at my neighbor’s house, but because of COVID-19, they are not having the gathering.

Since we can’t do our normal tradition, my family and I wanted to find something socially distant for us all to enjoy, so we decided to go to the Shady Brook Holiday Light show. Every year Shady Brook Farm in Yardley, Pennsylvania, has a holiday light show that gets better and better each year.

Even though Shady Brook Farm is right around the corner, we don’t make it every year. It has been a couple years since I have been, so I am excited to drive through the lights spending time with my family.

I hope that, like my family, others are rolling with the punches and making the most out of this holiday season and will be able to celebrate with their families and loved ones, no matter what that looks like.
