Last weekend I met up with an old friend from high school. He recently came home from college in Michigan, and we never found time to catch up.
His favorite restaurant around the area is a family-style Italian restaurant called Giuseppe’s, so we decided to go there. It also didn’t hurt they had pizza, so I was in.
I have been to Giuseppe’s before, but we noticed they had a new wood-burning oven for the pizza. Oddly enough, they still make pizza with the old oven, too, and have both types of pizza on the menu at different prices — important details we need to discuss.
The wood-fired pizza sounded like an interesting concept, so I indulged. It was good. I do have to say, though, I did not really notice a large difference between the two styles; I have eaten the regular style before.
In conclusion, I think it is a smarter choice to go with the regular pizza instead of the wood-fired — more pizza for less money, same taste: makes sense!
But I digress. We had a great time catching up at Giuseppe’s and will most certainly visit again soon.
