Happy spring! After a seemingly endless and cold winter, longer days and sunshine are finally back or, at least, slowly coming back.
Sunshine in the city means more time spent outdoors, walking and biking; runners heading back outside; and rooftop bars, pop-up beer gardens and alfresco everything in between opening.
One of the most exciting aspects about spring (for me, at least) in the city is all the open-air markets and street festivals.
For foodies, there’s the Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival and Restaurant Week just outside the city, or in Center City proper, Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival has a little bit of everything, including dining, shopping and seasonal festivities. Later in April, East Passyunk Avenue hosts Flavors of the Avenue, showcasing the foodie neighborhood’s epic lineup of bars and restaurants, or the super casual Parks on Tap and roaming beer garden.
