Last night, I ventured to Citizen’s Bank Park for the last home game of the 2011 regular season. The Phillies clinched the NL East division title for the fifth year in a row on Saturday, and this seems to be the lull before the postseason. It was Fan Appreciation Night, and everyone was given a 2011 rally towel and a set of Phillies postcards. In addition, select fans were greeted on the field by their favorite player and had their jerseys signed. At the breaks in each inning, incredible prizes were awarded to lucky fans by seat. Some of the gifts included a set of four baseballs signed by our star pitchers, three trips (hotel and airfare included) to Spring Break, gift certificates, apparel and tickets. Sadly, I was not one of the winning seats! It was a great season, and hopefully, we’ll have an even better postseason.
