Fall for Fall

by Olivia Falcione

Sep 23, 2016

As Autumn has officially arrived, I must say that I am very excited to dive into everything the season has to offer. From caramel apples and apple cider to pumpkin patches and pumpkin spice lattes, I am a serious fall fan. I was born and raised in the Northeast, where we can truly experience the change in seasons. Having a 9-month old son, I am looking forward to passing along the traditions to him that my parents started when I was a child. In Bucks County, Pa., there are so many fall-friendly activities which I am thrilled to introduce to my little one. Some may be a bit early for my son to be a part of — KOP Beerfest Royale and Philadelphia’s Oktoberfest Celebration — but his time will come. Until then, Mom and Dad can enjoy those particular events. Here are some additional ways to embrace the fall season in Bucks County:

  • Pumpkin picking at Solly Brothers Farm, which includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch (Ivyland)
  • Enjoying a pumpkin ice cream cone at Tanner Bros. while watching the cows on the farm (Richboro)
  • Haunted hayride and haunted house at Shady Brook Farms (Yardley)
  • Wagon ride to apple orchard to pick your own apples at Shady Brook Farms (Yardley)
  • Crafts in the Meadow fall craft show at Tyler State Park —  includes live music, performing arts and refreshments (Richboro)
  • Order a Pumpkin Spice Latte or Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate at the local Starbucks and take a stroll down State Street (Newtown, Pa.)

And if nothing else, you can always just take a look outside and appreciate the many colors of the season. Happy Fall! Horsham, Pa - October 2015 — Olivia Falcione, sales and marketing manager

Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel Review

There are a few words that come to mind when the subject of airport hotels comes up. Usually, fun, cute and lively aren’t on that list. When general manager Evgeny Vreijling or his team members welcome guests, they insist Corendon Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is not an airport hotel but a hotel that happens to be near the airport. He also emphasizes that, while Amsterdam is regarded as the gateway to Europe, the hotel was designed to be a gateway to the rest of the Netherlands.
