Concert Season

by Mary Melnick

May 10, 2023

With summer right around the corner, there are plenty of concerts coming up I am either going to or hoping to go to.

The season starts off with Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. Over the past month or so, Swift has toured the country, and this weekend she makes her stop in Philadelphia. After waiting eight hours and sitting through Ticketmaster crashing, I finally got tickets to the Friday show. I couldn’t be more excited for this concert; I have been waiting for Taylor Swift to go on tour for years. She puts on an amazing show, and the clips I have seen from past shows don’t disappoint. She performs 44 songs for about three hours with the only breaks for costume changes.concert

Next, I am going to the Ed Sheeran concert in June. I have been a big fan of Ed Sheeran since his start, so I am excited to see him perform songs from all his albums. He’s an impressive performer; he stands on the stage with his guitar, does everything by himself and just sings his songs.concert

These two are the only concerts I currently have tickets to, but there are plenty of other artists I want to see throughout summer; some I’ve seen before and some I haven’t. Some of the artists I haven’t seen before I am hoping to get tickets to are Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Billy Joel with Stevie Nicks. For the artists I’ve seen before, that would be the Jonas Brothers. Tickets for that show haven’t gone on sale yet, so fingers crossed it’s not a mess trying to get them.concert

I love going to concerts, whether I know every song or not; here’s to making it the summer of concerts!
