This past weekend I traveled to Cape May, New Jersey, with two of my cousins — more like best friends. The three of us started a tradition of having a girls’ weekend “down the shore” in each season of the year, creating countless memories on every trip.
Unknowingly, the famous Christmas parade was scheduled for this weekend. We headed into town and found the perfect spot to watch all the different acts. Participants included local schools, churches, bands, nonprofits, breweries, businesses and more. What a great way to see the Cape May community come together and celebrate the holiday season!
Check out some pics from the parade below:
Wanting to continue the holiday festivities, we headed to Congress Hall after the parade, home to its own Christmas village. Looking straight out of a Hallmark movie, the property was decked out with beautiful lights, live music, Christmas cocktails and local vendors. They even had a mini train kiddos could ride on.
With so much to do and see, Congress Hall is a must-go spot when celebrating the holidays. They offer fire pits and tall heaters to allow the festivities to flow both indoors and outdoors.
We ended the night watching Penn State in the Big 10 Championship at Carney’s, a high-energy bar and grill. They had a live band singing classic Christmas tunes and decorations sparkling up the dance floor. It was the best way to get into the holiday spirit!
Make sure to check out Christmas in Cape May!
