This year Global Traveler partnered with The Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), an organization devoted to providing children and families who have been affected by generational trauma with mental and behavioral health services. Their services address the effects of abuse, neglect and other challenges to early childhood development.
In June it was a privilege to kick off this partnership with a presentation at our Leisure Lifestyle Awards, hosted at the Union League of Philadelphia. We welcomed CEO Toni Valdes to say a few words about this organization and present the Meet Michael video, which shares more about the impact of this cause. We also welcomed John Moeller, Jr., Director of Development, to speak more in depth with guests about the CCTC.
At the beginning of December the CCTC hosted its annual Roundup Ball on December 1, and members of the FXExpress Publications, Inc. team were invited to attend. The ball is an auction event with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to the CCTC. Throughout the fall and winter the GT team collected donations for stays at luxury hotels and resorts around the world, complimentary flight vouchers on top airlines, experience packages for U.S cities and more for bidding at this event. Here we celebrated the success of CCTC over the year and enjoyed a wonderfully Western evening featuring a mechanical bull, which I had to try out!
This past week at the GT Tested Reader’s Survey Awards in Pasadena, California, we again welcomed John Moeller to speak at our event to celebrate this ongoing partnership and continue to bring awareness to the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center and close out 2023 while welcoming continued support in 2024.
