Over the years there have been many cool, temporary public art displays in downtown Chicago. I enjoyed cows, globes, canines and more.
The latest art installation along Michigan Avenue features 15 larger-than-life goalie masks commemorating and celebrating the 25th season of the Chicago Wolves hockey team. Each mask features a different design worn by a former Chicago Wolves goalie, including current GM and former Turner Cup champion Wendell Young.

The art display kicks off the “Last Team Standing” campaign of the Wolves. In its history, the Wolves won six conference championships, nine division titles and earned more than 1,000 wins. The Wolves have carved a niche in a town owned by the Chicago Blackhawks.
The unveiling ceremony featured interactive displays and appearances by past and present Wolves players. Thousands of fans and spectators filled Pioneer Court to join the celebration. It concluded with a special laser light show.
Wolves co-founder and owner Don Levin stated this is all just a small preview of things to come as the Wolves celebrate the silver anniversary season. The fun really begins at the Wolves home opener at the Allstate Arena on Saturday, Oct. 13.
