Bucks County Ale Trail

by Mary Melnick

Oct 6, 2019

For the past two weeks my parents and I have visited breweries all over Bucks County to get a free t-shirt. While scrolling through Instagram a few weeks ago, my mom saw a post from @visitbuckspa advertising the Bucks County Ale Trail. To get a free t-shirt you have to go to five of the 10 breweries on the list and check in with the special code. You can either download the list on your phone or get a physical map to check places off.

We downloaded a “passport” on our phones and started our journey. Our first stop was at Free Will. It wasn’t our first time there, so we just stopped in during a trip to Peddler’s Village.

A couple days later we went to The Langhorne Brewing Company and checked that one off our list. We liked The Langhorne Brewing Company because it was also a restaurant, so we had dinner. The food is good; I recommend it.

Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company

This past weekend we knocked three more off our list. The first one was Broken Goblet in Bensalem. We loved it. I am not much of a beer drinker, but they had a blueberry cider that was good. Our next stop was Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. They had a lot of different selections, but, of course, I chose the cherry pie cider, my favorite from all the stops.

Sunday was our last stop before we got the free t-shirt. We chose The Vault because we could get dinner there as well. The Vault had a good amount of selections, too. I got the blueberry cider, which tasted like juice.

Although we’ve already earned the t-shirt, we are still going to try the other breweries on the list because we really enjoyed the first five.
