As I mentioned in my last blog, I recently spent the weekend at Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. Beyond my experience at the Lunch and Learn with Chef Jose Garces, I had time to explore the resort and its many amenities.
The dining options are excellent. On our first night, our group dined at Dolce Mare. The fine-dining Italian restaurant offered amazing ocean views alongside classic Italian dishes. Not surprisingly, the pasta dishes we tried were standouts of the meal. We ordered room service the first morning of our stay. Room service always feels like an indulgence to me, and I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in my room before heading out for the day’s activities. We also dined at American Cut. We sampled a variety of menu items at the classic steakhouse. I love a seafood tower and was thrilled when our group ordered American Cut’s version.
The resort is home to a Topgolf Swing Suite. We didn’t have a reservation, but luckily there was a space open, and we worked on our golf swings for an hour. There are several onsite pools including private cabanas and the HQ2 Beachclub. We opted for a quick dip at the Eclipse indoor/outdoor pool. It was a hot day, and the lounge chairs were all taken during our swim, so we didn’t stay too long. We strolled through The Park, an open-air green space located on the lobby level. We grabbed drinks at the lobby bar and took them out to sit on the Adirondack chairs while enjoying fresh air and ocean views. The last morning of our stay, we went to the fitness center for a workout before hitting the road. Open daily, the fitness center boasts a variety of cardio machines, weight machines and free weights.
With so many dining and entertainment options on site, we didn’t leave the resort once during our visit, and we didn’t even experience it all. The property is ideal for a relaxing weekend getaway. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon!
