This past Wednesday to Friday, I took a short trip to Mexico City to introduce Carly to our representative Fernando, who has been doing a great job for Global Traveler.  Here’s a quick picture I took right outside the St. Regis in Mexico City and a half a block from Aeromexico’s HQ. On this trip, we stayed at the Westin Santa Fe, which is in a newly developed area of Mexico City with incredible architecture filled with corporate offices and apartments. In fact, Fernando moved there five years ago and has found the area quite enjoyable. The hotel is only about six months old and has a nice set-up for travelers doing business in the Santa Fe area.  The rooms are very functional, and I enjoyed the work space and bathrooms.  I think this property has the best Westin bath I have seen, with an enormous shower and great new bath amenities. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from, and we had a nice meal at Puerto Madero Bosques, an Argentine-style steak house. Mexico City often gets a bad rap, but if you are careful — like you should be in any big city — you will not have a problem. — Fran Gallagher, publisher and CEO
