The 10th Annual Moorestown Relief Engine Company Beerfest, held at Moorestown Community House, proved to be another unforgettable event for local beer lovers and enthusiasts alike. This annual gathering brings together an impressive array of local breweries, offering attendees the chance to sample a variety of craft beers, each showcasing unique flavors and styles. From IPAs to sours, there was something for everyone, including those who prefer a glass of wine instead, making it an inclusive event for all tastes. This year marked my third time attending, and each year has brought something new and exciting to the table.
The festival’s lively atmosphere was made even better by the music of cover band Next, who kept the crowd entertained with an energetic set. As guests sipped beers and enjoyed the tunes, a tempting buffet spread allowed for plenty of grazing throughout the evening. The food, paired perfectly with the drinks, helped fuel the festivities and encouraged people to mingle and discover new favorites. Whether a craft beer connoisseur or a casual drinker, the Beerfest provided a fun, relaxed environment to explore the best of local brews.
One of the standout moments for many attendees, including myself, was the Orange Creamsicle Sour from Heavy Reel Brewing Company. This refreshing, tart brew was an instant hit, capturing the nostalgic flavor of the beloved ice cream treat with every sip. Alongside it, countless other creative and flavorful beers were available to try, each with its own distinct character — making it hard to pick a favorite but also a great excuse to keep sampling.
As always, the 50/50 raffle added an extra layer of excitement to the night, with the grand prize a brand-new Weber smoker. The raffle was a fun addition to the evening, and attendees eagerly awaited the chance to win. All in all, the 10th Annual Moorestown Relief Engine Company Beerfest was a fantastic celebration of community, local brewers and good times with friends. The combination of amazing beers, delicious food, live music and the friendly atmosphere made for an event worth attending year after year — especially for me, as this was my third consecutive year, and it continues to be a highlight on my calendar.
