As frequent travelers, we often rush about our trips with breakfast meetings, regular meetings, dinner meetings, tight flight schedules and everything that life throws at us, but lately, I have tried to be a bit more careful with my trips to make sure I have a day in whichever city I am in to explore or have some “me” time. It’s important to slow down and enjoy the amazing job and interesting stories I have to share.
One of my favorite things to do in a city, besides eating, is to visit museums or libraries, somewhere that shares the culture and history of a city or country that you might not ever see again. I am planning my annual Asia trip for business and what will be my 10th trip to Seoul, South Korea. It’s safe to say I have been to many of the palaces and museums and even the DMZ, but this time I was referred to the furniture museum, a collection of Korean history told by tables, chairs and the like. I am beyond excited!
A few of my favorite pieces of art and experiences from my travels include the Frick in New York, the Broad in Los Angeles, Barnes Museum in Philadelphia, National Museum in Singapore and NASA in Houston. My other suggestions are the history museum in Mexico City, Palace Museum in Taipei and Pearl Harbor in Honolulu.
