With an overwhelming start to a new decade (to say the least), I have yet to make time to create this year’s vision board . . . or take down my Christmas tree, if we’re being honest.

As someone who detested the daily commutes in New York City — we need to do better, MTA — the thought of train travel has been one I avoided but now might have to take into account.

Visiting my motherland, the Dominican Republic; experiencing the amazing New Orleans cuisine lots of people rave about; and hopefully spending my birthday in Turks & Caicos are some of my travel resolutions this year. While I tend to lean more toward beach destinations when I think about vacation, this year I want to focus on the adventures and experiences rather than the just the scenery. With this article, Lew sparked interest in a trip to Canada I must now start planning.
