I joined the board of directors for the Flight Path Museum and Learning Center a few weeks ago, and it has been a pleasure to help a nonprofit that has a mission to preserve aviation history and inspire the next generation of pilots and space explorers.
My first project was to partner with the LA Department of Cultural Affairs in time for the 2019 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The Flight Path Museum is curating an exhibit of uniforms from Asian and Pacific airlines from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, along with memorabilia to give visitors a taste of the fashion and heritage they brought to Western travelers. Some key items I have seen are uniforms from Singapore Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines and more.
The exhibit runs through June 30, so stop by and let them tell you a story of aviation!
