Andaz Wall Street opened its signature restaurant Andaz Kitchen & Bar, with executive chef Pietro Consorti at the helm. The restaurant promises international fusion cuisine and is part of a multiphase renovation at the hotel.
Chef Consorti’s background includes work under Michelin-starred chefs in Milan, before moving to Hyatt properties in the United States, including the Hyatt Regency Louisville.
The Andaz Kitchen & Bar menu takes inspiration from Italian, Caribbean, Asian and American dishes, with daily international specials from such destinations as Jamaica, Italy and Vietnam.
The lunch menu includes soups and salads, as well as handmade pastas like ravioli with ricotta, anchovies, red pepper and Parmigiano Reggiano; and Kentucky-inspired bourbon mash risotto with roasted corn, barley, malt, blue cheese, ash and saba.
The dinner menu offers a variety of sandwiches and large plates, including Jamaican-braised oxtail, chicken adobo and more. Shareable small dishes such as lacquered spare ribs and stuffed yellow plantains are also available. The dessert menu features flan de leche and New York-style cheesecake.
“Andaz Kitchen & Bar embodies the cultural melting pot of New York, featuring authentic ingredients from a variety of international cuisines and cultures,” said chef Consorti. “Diners will taste a dish and know they are getting a true representation of that cuisine. I will not compromise on flavor and ingredients based on convenience — everything I put into my dishes is sourced directly from the country it is from. I believe in simple yet flavorful dishes that respect tradition and are infused with love. I am passionate about what I do and I look forward to sharing that with those who come to dine at the restaurant.”
