“Few countries grip the imagination quite like Egypt, with its massive pyramids, secret tombs, colorful markets and the majestic Nile River coursing through it all. There is no better way to discover Egypt than by cruising the Nile,” said Kristin Karst, co-founder and executive vice president, AmaWaterways. “We now have two beautiful ships traversing the picturesque stretch of the river on a round-trip cruise from Luxor, including two nights in Aswan. Now is a unique opportunity for travelers to explore Egypt with fewer tourists around, and the feedback from guests who traveled recently has been incredibly positive.”

AmaLilia boasts 41 staterooms, including 13 suites, a sun deck and swimming pool, fitness room, hair and nail salon, a massage room, and two restaurants. Knowledgeable Egyptologists join sailings to help enrich the experience.

“With its rich history and legendary landmarks, Egypt is one of the most fascinating destinations in the world,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder, AmaWaterways. “The launch of our second ship in Egypt underscores our confidence in the country’s timeless appeal and the unforgettable experiences it offers. We expect to see a surge in travelers eager to witness the beauty of Egypt firsthand.”

Atticus Hotel Review

This homespun country inn is most associated with a wine country vacation, commonly decorated with “craftsman”- or “farmhouse”-inspired décor. While these often-folksy inns provide a sense of place, Erin Stephenson and Brian Shea, founders of Atticus Hotel, shook up that formula ever so slightly. Rather than go the “quaint” route, an eclectic and urbane mix of furnishings and accents blend the Pacific Southwest Americana of Willamette Valley hub McMinnville with the contemporary sensibility of Portland, located 40 miles south.

Immerse in Retro Style and Aviation History at TWA Hotel

Stepping into the lobby at TWA Hotel transports travelers in a whole different way. While most people plan vacations to travel to another destination, this particular hub instead takes you back in time to the golden era of aviation. The award-winning space resides in the expertly designed and restored former Trans World Airlines Flight Center, originally constructed by Eero Saarinen in 1962. Two added wings house more than 500 guestrooms overlooking the runways at the airport. But unlike many other airport hotels that get a bad rap, these rooms are insulated from the noise and activity surrounding the airport.

Sunflower Accessibility Program Featured at O’Hare and Midway Airports

Travelers with invisible disabilities passing through O’Hare and Midway International Airports can now discreetly signal they need assistance thanks to a new Chicago Department of Aviation partnership that helps create more accessible and inclusive spaces.
