Finally! Free Unlimited WiFi at NYC Area Airports
Until recently, passengers at John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia (LGA) and New York Stewart International (SWF) airports were only offered 30 minutes of complimentary WiFi. But, in October, the Port Authority of NY & NJ, which operates these airports, announced now everyone in these airports has access to free, high-speed WiFi service in unlimited, four-hour sessions. Not Flying? SEA Tests Airport Visitor Pass
In August 2017, Pittsburgh International Airport debuted its year-round MyPITpass program, which allows the non-flying public to enter the secure side of the terminal for shopping, dining and sending loved ones off on flights or welcoming them home.
Through Dec. 14, Seattle-Tacoma International is testing a similar program. Like PIT’s pass, the SEA Visitor Pass program has restrictions on when it is available and requires a pass through the security checkpoint. SEA’s pilot program is currently capped at 50 visitors a day and limits access to the terminals to Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m.–9 p.m.
