Airbus Announces Sexy New Cabin Concept

Apr 5, 2016
Daily

Airbus announced its new Airspace by Airbus cabin concept, and it sure is sexy. The new brand aims to combine “an enhanced experience for passengers and optimum performance for airlines based on four dimensions: comfort, ambience, service and design.”

The slick design features wider seats, softer lighting, more under-seat space, larger overhead bins, 3D screens and large self-cleaning bathrooms with antibacterial surfaces.

The design will be rolled out to Airbus customers Delta, Garuda Indonesia and AirAsia when it enters commercial service in late 2017. The cabin design fits into Airbus’ widebody A330neo (new engine option) version and on the A350XWB.

“The A380 already offers the best comfort of any aircraft, and the A320 is the top in its single-aisle category,” said Kiran Rao, executive vice president of marketing & strategy, Airbus. “Airspace is another step forward, reflecting our decision to bring consistency on our two best-selling widebody aircraft: the A350 XWB and A330neo.”

“Such signature details and iconic elements will add to passengers’ enjoyment of flight, while offering a flexible canvas to which the airlines can project their own brand,” Rao concluded.

About 15 minutes from the Mayan ruins and the town, Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya, opened in January 2022, truly embraces its natural setting.

KŌAST Review

In Los Angeles, word spreads quickly when a bonafide “A-list” chef opens a new restaurant, complete with a painstakingly crafted menu and ambiance that whispers (not shouts) “exclusive.” This is certainly the case with the warmly lit, 60-seat KŌAST Melrose, packed every night since its Jan. 29 opening. While the dining experience involves painstakingly prepared dishes almost too pretty to tear into, the management and staff keep things grounded to ensure it shines as a “neighborhood spot” more about the food than whomever comes in to enjoy it.

Vancouver Entices Meeting-Goers with Its Stunning Beauty and Sustainability

When I first visited Vancouver, I was headed to the city for a work event. I anticipated a hectic few days of business travel, but what I didn’t expect was the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the city. From there, I ventured out into the wilds of Canada’s Pacific Coast with a trip to Vancouver Island and Tofino. I have returned — for work and pleasure — many times since over the years. I found that first trip nothing short of perfect, which is unsurprising considering Vancouver has established itself as an alluring and unique destination for MICE tourism. Vancouver offers sustainability and versatility for business travelers and hosts more than 500 major domestic and international conventions, tradeshows and more.

2 Airlines Now Use Apple Features for Enhanced Baggage Tracking

It’s a fear (and even experience) we’ve all unfortunately had when traveling: We get to our destination or back home and wait at baggage claim, only to have the sinking realization our bag didn’t emerge and is missing. Fortunately, more and more airlines seek ways to avoid these problems or, at least in the event your bag does go missing temporarily, have ways to keep tabs on bags.
