Last month I shared my goal to do something fun with my little cousin and brother on the weekends. New Yorkers, behold the “ugly weather” weekend savior: Billy Beez The Kid’s Choice at Bay Plaza Mall.
Two Saturdays ago, a good friend and her son joined me and my boys for a well-spent afternoon at the mall. I despise going to the mall (I would much rather shop online) but when I learned about this indoor play park, I had to take the boys to burn off some energy.
Between wild slides, tunnels, swings, a not-so-typical ball pit and mini sports courts, Billy Beez covers it all. While my brother and cousin were madly running around, my friend’s son didn’t enjoy the chaos as much; luckily, they have a space dedicated to little ones called the “Mini Beez Area.” You can also host a birthday party in one of its private party rooms (they have various packages you can choose from).
Although Bay Plaza’s food court offers a wide range of options, the café inside Billy Beez makes it much easier to enjoy your time there — your ticket is valid only for one entry, if you leave the park you must pay again upon re-entry.
I must admit, I had to be reminded I couldn’t ride the slides with the kids a couple of times. It was a great way to burn some post-pizza calories!
