Over holiday break, my best friend from high school came home to visit family and friends. The first night he was back, we were looking for something to do. We were both hungry, so we wanted eat — the problem was we did not know where.
Out of nowhere my friend exclaimed he knew exactly where we should go: Nifty Fifty’s in Philadelphia.
For those who do not know Nifty Fifty’s, it is a staple in the community for great food and an interesting venue. Now Nifty’s is not by any stretch of the imagination fine dining, but it is a wonderful family spot, and the atmosphere is always cheerful.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing all of the old-school neon they have hanging in the restaurant.
We had some good nuggets and some phenomenal milkshakes; it was a great time and it was spent with great people.
