Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel reopened earlier this month following extensive enhancements intended to better serve the modern luxury traveler.
New guestroom designs reflect Oman culture and heritage through rich furnishings, lush materials, neutral metallic tones and contemporary artwork. An updated Ritz Kids program and new Family Aqua Land provides fun for travelers of all ages. New dining includes Al Kiran Kitchen, with views of the Gulf of Oman, and China Mood, for authentic Chinese cuisine and a tea sommelier. The meeting and event spaces also received updates.
“Oman continues to welcome record numbers of international visitors thanks to our commitment to offering world-class experiences for the modern global traveler that honor and celebrate our beautiful natural surroundings, rich culture and history,” said H.E. Maitha bint Saif Al Mahrouqi, undersecretary, the Ministry of Tourism, Oman. “The renovation of Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel fully supports this vision and we are confident that the hotel will continue to contribute to the Sultanate’s thriving tourism industry.”
On the other side of the globe, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve reopened in Puerto Rico following renovations after last year’s hurricane season. The more than 100 guestrooms and suites feature a refreshed look mirroring the island’s outdoor beauty. The favorite resort dining options boast new menus and the award-winning spa offers new treatments.
The property’s historic five-bedroom villa continues its renovations, in time for a December opening.
“Dorado Beach exemplifies the unique qualities of the Reserve brand, which is distinguished for its collection of locally-inspired properties that offer heartfelt care and transformative experiences in the most incredible corners of the world,” said Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve. “With this reopening, the world’s most discerning travelers can once again immerse themselves in the local culture, enjoy unique experiences set apart by human connection and discover this rare estate anew while also supporting the revitalization of Puerto Rico.”
Through February, the property donates $10 per booked room to Flamboyan Arts Fund, Lin-Manual Miranda’s nonprofit that supports Puerto Rican artistic endeavors.
