The wait is over! Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, recently unveiled its hotly anticipated Concourses D and E, marking a crucial step in the airport’s expansion and increasing capacity to more than 65 million passengers yearly. The project began in 2018.

“Hamad International Airport is more than a gateway; it is a vital pillar of Qatar’s growth and global connectivity. I am pleased to see this expansion project, with conclusion of both concourses going live, which I have personally been involved with since 2018,” said Engr. With the opening of the two new concourses, the airport’s expansion project is now complete. This final phase started in 2022, when the ORCHARD, a 6,000-square-meter indoor tropical garden, opened.

A wider selection of premium retail outlets and global dining brands enhances the experience, and Qatar Duty Free unveiled more than 10 new retail outlets and food and beverage venues.

A Commitment to Sustainability
Concourses D and E were designed to meet GSAS 4-Star Design & Build Certification, aiming for LEED Gold Certification.
