One of California’s most sought-after destinations has a host of updates throughout 2020.
Through new meeting spaces, new dining and entirely new hotels, Carlsbad, California, is using 2020 as an opportunity to redefine itself for travelers considering it as a destination.
One of the biggest boons coming to Carlsbad is the massive expansion of meeting space. Omni La Costa Resort and Spa is adding a new ballroom this year with more than 30,000 square feet of space. The property already boasts 46 meeting rooms.
A major icon of the Carlsbad hotel scene, Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club and Spa is embarking on a massive renovation expected for completion later this year. The $50 million renovation includes upgrades to all guestrooms and suites as well as the property’s meeting rooms. It is also enhancing the lobby entrance area, spa, pools and golf clubs.
Finally, The Cassara Carlsbad is a new boutique hotel already welcoming guests. It offers 90 guestrooms and plans to add 29 suites this year. The hotel offers a private Legoland entrance, making it a good spot for families with kids.
