The Leading Hotels of the World welcomes six new member hotels to its portfolio of luxury independent hotels. These six hotels include three new hotel openings in Puglia, Italy; Bodrum, Türkiye; and Mexico City, Mexico. The collection also welcomes a family-led winery hotel in Alentejo, Portugal, as well as a former school in Kyoto, Japan, and one of New Delhi’s finest heritage hotels.

Alexander, Mexico City, Mexico

Opened this past April, Alexander features 26 spacious suites adorned with Italian furnishings. The hotel boasts a gym; caviar bar; curated concierge-booked experiences; and Carmela y Sal restaurant, an eatery serving elevated Mexican cuisine.

Masseria Donna Menga, Nardò Lecce, Italy

This restored 16th-century farmhouse has been transformed into a chic and rustic hideaway. With just 24 rooms, Masseria Donna Menga promises an intimate luxury experience, complete with an on-site restaurant, bar and pool.

The Imperial, New Delhi, India

Built in 1963, this private, 8-acre estate features more than 5,000 pieces of 17th– and 18th-century Indo-European art. Elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites, eight dining and drinking options, and immersive experiences await.

Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort, Bodrum, Türkiye

Opened this May, Maxx Royal Bodrum Resort sits on a private peninsula overlooking the Aegean Sea. This 249-key property will soon be home to the first Turkish outpost of Scorpios Beach Club. Seven restaurants with farm-to-table approaches, a 50,000-square-foot spa and more bring this resort to life.

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu, Kyoto City, Japan

This modernist former 1930s school was transformed into a luxurious hotel. Classrooms have been reimagined as deluxe guestrooms, while the lounge and restaurant occupy the original lecture hall. Another restaurant and bar take over the rooftop.

Quinta do Paral, Vidigueira, Portugal

Quinta do Paral is an organix winery hotel that opened last year, offering views of scenic Vidigueira and 75 acres of gardens, vines and olive groves. With 22 guestrooms and suites spread across the renovated, historic main house and in the newly built guest accommodations, the hotel embraces rural living. Experiences include horseback riding through century-old vines, authentic cooking classes and more.

Atticus Hotel Review

This homespun country inn is most associated with a wine country vacation, commonly decorated with “craftsman”- or “farmhouse”-inspired décor. While these often-folksy inns provide a sense of place, Erin Stephenson and Brian Shea, founders of Atticus Hotel, shook up that formula ever so slightly. Rather than go the “quaint” route, an eclectic and urbane mix of furnishings and accents blend the Pacific Southwest Americana of Willamette Valley hub McMinnville with the contemporary sensibility of Portland, located 40 miles south.

Remarkable Medellín

Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.

Immerse in Retro Style and Aviation History at TWA Hotel

Stepping into the lobby at TWA Hotel transports travelers in a whole different way. While most people plan vacations to travel to another destination, this particular hub instead takes you back in time to the golden era of aviation. The award-winning space resides in the expertly designed and restored former Trans World Airlines Flight Center, originally constructed by Eero Saarinen in 1962. Two added wings house more than 500 guestrooms overlooking the runways at the airport. But unlike many other airport hotels that get a bad rap, these rooms are insulated from the noise and activity surrounding the airport.

Sunflower Accessibility Program Featured at O’Hare and Midway Airports

Travelers with invisible disabilities passing through O’Hare and Midway International Airports can now discreetly signal they need assistance thanks to a new Chicago Department of Aviation partnership that helps create more accessible and inclusive spaces.
