Ever since opening in 2021, Nobu London Portman Square has served as the focal point for many gatherings, stays and experiences. This fall the hotel’s Nobu Bar adds four more reasons to visit with an exciting array of offerings, menus and events.

Drop the Beat
Officially launching Oct. 5, Nobu Bar invites guests to this new event taking place every Thursday. Combining a mix of ’80s disco and funk inspired by legendary Japanese nightclub Maharaja, this event features specially selected DJ Megan Fernandez taking over each week to deliver memorable performances.

New Cocktail Menu
Complementing Drop the Beat, bar manager Sophie Bratt concocted a new menu in collaboration with House of Suntory, the pioneer in Japanese spirits. This expertly crafted menu puts a fun twist on classic drinks, featuring House of Suntory’s Haku vodka, Toki whisky, Roku gin and Hibiki. Highlights include the Kokoro (Haku vodka and Sakura vermouth blended with cold-brew hibiscus flower, jasmine kombucha and verjus) and Toki (a mix of ginger ale with a punch and finessed with a gold shimmer).
Collaboration with Idris Elba’s Porte Noire
Through March 2024 the hotel brings the ultimate collaboration with Porte Noir to guests and locals alike. This brand, founded by actor and musician Idris Elba, is now available exclusively at Nobu Bar. Nobu Bar will also donate proceeds to The Water Project with every glass of Porte Noir Champagne consumed in a campaign cleverly called Save Water, Drink Champagne.

London Cocktail Week
This year’s London Cocktail week runs Oct. 12–22, and Nobu Bar at Nobu Hotel London Portman Square doesn’t plan on missing out on the celebrations. On these dates Nobu Bar offers guests the option to enjoy three bespoke cocktails in partnership with sustainable beverage brand Discarded. This week also sees Sophie Bratt lead a series of events centering on sustainability and women in the industry. On Oct. 19, London Cocktail Week legends Siobhan Payne and Hannah Sharman-Cox join Sophie for a night of Champagne, martinis and shots. The three specialty cocktails available during London Cocktail Week:
- Espresso High: Cascara vermouth, lacto plum syrup and pre-brewed coffee husk finessed with cocoa nib soda and coffee husk dirt
- Banana Peel Punch: Banana peel rum, banana skin syrup, coconut milk, milk, flat Champagne, citrus and Fernet
