Using Google search data, SpaSeekers.com discovered the top trending spa destinations in the world. The top five trending spa destinations for 2023 are:
Costa Rica
Costa Rica reigns supreme for 2023, with more than 62,000 Google searches for Costa Rican spas. Many luxurious spas and spa resorts incorporate the region’s natural beauty and ingredients to provide elevated massages, treatments and more. Some of the country’s finest spas, treatments and wellness experiences can be found at Nayara Tented Camp Costa Rica, Hotel Nantipa, Hotel Belmar, Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa and Tierra Magnifica.
Germany
Germany’s long history with spas, dating back to Roman times, sees 350 spa towns currently dotting the country, with many located near the Black Forest. Baden-Baden draws visitors year-round, while the well-known spa Friedrichsbad invites guests to experience centuries-old traditions, such as alternating between thermal baths and ice-cold plunges.
