Daily

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas recently introduced an adults-only dining experience designed to take a select number of diners “into the depths of seventh heaven on a Maldivian epicurean experience.”

The experience takes place at SEA, the resort’s famous underwater restaurant, where diners enjoy a meal 20 feet below the sea’s surface surrounded by vibrant sea life. The evening is limited to six couples or 12 adults per seating.

With seven the magic number for this experience of seventh heaven, the diner’s experience begins at 7 p.m., with a glass of Champagne before a seven-course degustation menu. The courses include poached lobster ceviche, scallops and pork belly, marinated monkfish, Tajima Wagyu seared striploin, dessert and more. All crafted by Prabhash Prabhakaran, executive chef, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, a vegetarian option is also available.

Diners can enhance the experience by adding a wine-pairing option to the dinner, enjoying wines selected by the resort’s resident Wine Guru. The underwater wine cellar — the world’s first — boasts a wine list of 450 labels.

Atticus Hotel Review

This homespun country inn is most associated with a wine country vacation, commonly decorated with “craftsman”- or “farmhouse”-inspired décor. While these often-folksy inns provide a sense of place, Erin Stephenson and Brian Shea, founders of Atticus Hotel, shook up that formula ever so slightly. Rather than go the “quaint” route, an eclectic and urbane mix of furnishings and accents blend the Pacific Southwest Americana of Willamette Valley hub McMinnville with the contemporary sensibility of Portland, located 40 miles south.

Remarkable Medellín

Visiting Medellín in Colombia: The Country of Beauty is like stepping into a fantastic story — literally, as the city in the Western Colombian Andes region inspired Disney’s Encanto. Here, valleys, the world’s tallest palms, vibrant communities, colorful houses, garden-like balconies and more prove reality is more picturesque than anything on film. And it’s especially more tempting following Medellín’s remarkable transformation, shedding its troubled past and reawakening as a city of innovation, art, cultural richness, modern infrastructure, thriving tourism and resiliency.

Immerse in Retro Style and Aviation History at TWA Hotel

Stepping into the lobby at TWA Hotel transports travelers in a whole different way. While most people plan vacations to travel to another destination, this particular hub instead takes you back in time to the golden era of aviation. The award-winning space resides in the expertly designed and restored former Trans World Airlines Flight Center, originally constructed by Eero Saarinen in 1962. Two added wings house more than 500 guestrooms overlooking the runways at the airport. But unlike many other airport hotels that get a bad rap, these rooms are insulated from the noise and activity surrounding the airport.
